Is counselling right for me?

Sometimes people find it helpful to talk through what is happening in their life with someone outside of the situation, counselling can offer this, take a look at my FAQs page or contact me directly -

People come to counselling for many reasons, either as a result of past or current life events, or to understand more about how they are thinking or feeling, to discuss  life changes, or to develop coping strategies. I will work with you to create the circumstances in which this can happen.

Therapy offers you a safe, confidential place to talk about your life

and anything that may be confusing, painful or, uncomfortable.

In our counselling sessions you can to talk with someone who is trained to

listen attentively and to work with you to make changes where you choose

and to help you to find some resolution to the issues that bring you to counselling.

I use a pluralistic approach in my practice, this is based on the understanding that different people need different things at different times. I work with clients to establish their needs and preferences. I use my skills and experience in person centred practice alongside my understanding and training in other approaches I will put your needs and preferences at the centre of our work to help reach your goals.
